১০. The age ration of three friends are the following. The age ratio of A and B is 3:5, and The age ration of B and C is 3:5. if the three friends (A,B,C)'s collective age is 147. What is the age of B. (10)
Solution: here, A:B = 3:5 and B:C = 3:5
now considering both ration A:B :: B:C = 9:15 :: 15: 25 (multiply the value of B from 2nd ration with whole of 1st and vice versa)
So, A:B:C = 9:15:25
total = 9+15+25 = 49 units
single unit age will be = 147/49 = 3
So the age of be will be = 15*3 = 45 years (Answer)
১১. A mixture of 120 liter milk and water contains 40% milk in it. IF a certain portion was removed from the mixture and replaced with water then the new mixture have 10% milk in it. What the the value of the removed part? (10)
Solution: 40% of 120 liter = 48
SO, Milk : Water = 48 : 72

now lets consider the removed part = X
(note: the removed part was added by water, so X will be added with water in new ratio)
the new mixture has 10% of milk
so new milk ratio = 10% of 120 = 12
Now the new mixture ratio
Milk : Water = 12 : 72+X
finally 120 = 12+72+X
